whatever!..

one, i want to thank MeCoy [link], a very good young man from the Philippines for another award for my blog - "the versatile blogger award..." i will look into this in the next days. bit busy with a lot of whatever things that i need to accomplish...

two, just found out that one of my docs is missing... :-( it is very vital for my application for permanent residency. haist! need to call the government agency to secure another copy. hope i can get one soon. btw, this is what's making me busy this past few days or maybe months. i am almost there. i mean a little more time and i am legitimate to apply for my residency. i want to apologize to all my blogger friends for not coming to visit you as often as i do before.

three, and this is what's pissing me off... oooooppppsss!!. sorry for the word. "WHY DOES NEWS REPORTS ON WEATHER SOUNDS LIKE THEY WANT OUR WEATHER TO BE HOTTER THAN HOT THAN BEFORE?" How would you like hearing the line, " well i guess we will not be able to break the records last whatever year it was set..." as if getting us toasted in the face of the planet is a good accomplishment. don't they realize that when we are breaking records of heat or temp means we are not doing any good to our environment. duh!.. i would rather hear the lines, good job human race, guess our effort to keep our environment clean and green is helping us keep the weather beautiful...

Help!

If helping makes you happy
go for it with no hesitation
for it is by heart!

but,
if it is to make you feel proud
Stop it!
do not use other's
misfortune
for your glory!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

just a thought: I am always stopped by the thoughts of the negative news and stories about beggars and hitchhikers roaming around the busy streets. Others even have good and funny signs and other have brought me to tears.

Am I too help with the little money and resources I have?

sale! sale! sale!

funny how we all
wait for our
favorite shop
or even our favorite
grocery store
to put the sign up
Sale! sale! sale!

we are all
patiently waiting for holidays
that all the department stores,
shops and even barbers
put their prices of up to 70% off...

and I am Guilty!..

but you know what?
that sale price is the real price
for all these commodities.
those prices
gives the businessman
a little mark-up
which if accumulated is huge.

the regular price we are paying
are the "Rip-Off Price!"

and this one is the funniest sign
I have ever seen...

We are on sale!
1 item for 10% off
2 items for 15% off
and
3 items for 20% off
hurry while supply last!..

as in duh!

Looking for a wonderful love life
that could last a lifetime?

Do not look for Mister or Miss Ideal!...

Most often than not
they live alone for the rest of their lives
trying to find the ideal person
to match them.

Find that someone
who is a complimentary to you
and you to him or her.

When it is already ideal
there is nothing to work on.
And that will eventually
bore the two of you.
Which will lead to breaking up...

 Happy hunting!... :-))

Magpie #122

Puddle, 1952, M. C. Escher

It is also man's
curiosity that
broke human's innocence.

like adulterated forests...

Blessed Sunday Everyone!
Great week ahead!

and

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
to all daddies, papas, tatay
and also to all
women,
who became father after loosing a husband
a brother or a sister,
or any man or woman,
who in one way or another
have stood up as a father.

Mag 121

Still Life, 1670, detail by Jean Francois de Le Motte

i used to be
one of those
that keeps old letters,
old tokens,
old notebooks.
old pictures,
to keep me reminded
of the past.

but...
i just realized
keeping some of them
is holding me back
to things that are already
behind me.

things that I myself
do not wish to have back.

thus keeping them
makes it hard for me
to move forward
with open heart
and mind.

and then
i decided it is the right time,
(oh believe me
it is so difficult)
to let go of some of them
and just take with me
the best ones and
the lessons learned
from the unpleasant ones.

ahhh...
such a great feeling.
chest is so light...

I Am Celebrating 42 Years of Good Life

Why do we celebrate birthdays?

Henri J. M. Nouwen has a very
good reason we all might agree with,

"Celebrating a birthday is exalting life
and being glad for it.
On a birthday, we do not say:
'Thanks for what you did, or said,
or accomplished.'
No, we say:
'Thank you for being born
 and being among us.'
Celebrating a birthday reminds us
of the goodness of life."

My life has never been easy.
not always fun and happy.
there are times that
no matter how hard I smile
and how hard I laugh,
I am hurting inside.

There are times that no matter how hard I beg
it seems like the whole world is deaf
and not hear me cry.

But....

having a wonderful Mother,
my late father and brother,
both named Gabriel
who I know are our angels...
pretty challenging and fun siblings,
beautiful and sweet nieces,
cute and adorable nephews,
my wonderful in-laws,
the best friends I earned along the way,
my online friends :-)
the best employer I have ever had...
and JIM and his family.

there is no reason to complain
and not to celebrate
the best 42 years of my life...
and consider it
the BEST gift I have ever received...
Thank you LORD!

yay! happy 42nd birthday to me!

Magpie Prompt 120

I hope that every nation
is equal in rights
in freedom
and in opportunity...

And I hope too
 that everyone is kind,
friendly
and peace loving...

there are so much
beautiful architectures,
wonders of nature;
served like platters of fruits
all over the world...

 But it is so sad
and disappointing
that only a privilege few,
lucky ones,
had the chance to see,
to enjoy and experience it...

the post  is inspired by my 3 days of wonderful
experience in Washington, DC, USA
June 1 - 3, 2012
so sad I was too busy roaming the city
that I was not able to allocate time to meet
Mr & Mrs. O... hehehe....
