i know it is impossible to make it permanent...
but can we at least,
just for the moment,
quit worrying and enjoy
every moment of the remaining days of 2012
to welcome 2013 with fun and happiness..

happy new year everyone!

Pantalan ng Roxas

Translation: Roxas Sea Port

it is a bit cloudy today so I decided to go for a walk.
as it is
i ended up visiting the controversial sea port of my hometown.
controversial? mmmm...
instead of painting it
white or yellow to be visible for fishermen
and other vessels, our local government decided to paint it pink.
reason, it's the mayor's favorite color.
safety was put aside. so sad!
but nevertheless,
i was able to take some beautiful pictures this afternoon...

My Voyage Home

yyz - ewr 8:30am
jfk - hkg 1:55pm
hkg -mnl 10:00pm

my voyage home starts tomorrow
dec 9, 2012 at 8:30am
i hope that air canada
will transfer me to the yyz - jfk
instead of yyz - ewr
as the short four hours transfer
from two airport is bothering and worrying me.
i have been once in new york city
and never been to new jersey.
i have tried contacting the airlines
and the agent but after a long long long
battle i failed.
the web agent airticketsdirect
is never of help.
which i think,
my obligation to let my followers and friends
know that never use this website to book your ticket.
in my desire to get what my hard earned money's worth
i did searched and checked the best fare i can get
the website offered the cheapest.
unfortunately, after doing the booking
i just notice that it doesnt make sense being booking from yyz - ewr
where my connecting flight departs from jfk to hongkong.
how about my transfer fronm the two airport.

as i have been saying,
i tried to contact them,
first, Air Canada as that's the portion that has a problem but they transferred me to Cathay Pacific, as they were saying that the booking is owned by CP. but CP transferred me to the agent.

talking to the agent, it would cost me Can$200 administrative fee, Can$150 Airline fee on top of the fare difference. funny but to buy a new ticket from YYZ - JFK is only Can$150-200. I dont know why things like this can be done by this companies. I am sorry but I hate it.

so guys, i will suggest if you would like to buy your ticket for holidays, buy it directly from the airline. it is so disapointing to hear from Air Canada and Cathay Pacific that they cannot do anything. So disappointing...

and lastly avoid booking your holidays thru AirTicketsdirect... I hate that company... i really really hate them... sorry for this...

The Promise of the Sun

Who have never
felt deserted?

Who have never experienced
being left alone;
at worst felt abandoned?

Who have never gone through
the feeling of being old, rotten,
sad and rough?

You are not the first one, my friend!..
We all do...
And it will constantly come and go.

Look out the window,
It is bright and sunny!.

Go out and see
the promise of the sun.

A G E

in general view of life...
          act ten years older
          than your real age!

in fun and enjoyment...
not bad to act ten years
          younger than your
          real age!
          take precautions! :-)

in reality/present...
          act your age!...

make sense?

Mag 143

To live, laugh and love
is just a part of my life.

On my own
the very essence of my life is
to see the beauty of the world,
explore its vastness,
and experience the different cultures
with my little time,
to the best of what my resources can afford.

It is only through seeing
and experiencing that we will be
truly grateful of what we have,
never greedy
and be generous.

Then embrace and spread the good
and hopefully, correct the mistakes.

Show You Care For Good Karma!

i was so happy to go to the bank yesterday to deposit my paycheque, as my boss decided to give us a little raise after another year. Happy thought, happy mood while walking to the bank that I used to go. The very handsome staff that became my friend was there and the very pleasant, happy looking lady was there to assist me. We had a little chat as they know that I am soon leaving for my 5 weeks holidays to the Philippines. 29 days to be exact. Yay!

on my way back, I decided to grab a doughnut from a coffee shop, as i am a little hungry and thinking that i might already be starving before dinner. and so i went in and fall in line.

before me is an old man, maybe between 70-80, with difficulty in walking most probably because of a stroke. there are two cashiers. so the further of the two cashiers called for him a minute before the near one called for me. his orders was handed out to him even before i can finish ordering mine.

hardly walking with his cane on his right hand and a cup of coffee and a plate of doughnut, he tried to go to his table. passing through a line of about 8 people, ages 40-60, men and women, all able bodied. nobody cared to help him. don't get me wrong here, i am not saying this because i need praises; i waited if somebody will, but nobody really cared at all. so a step or two away from me, i told the cashier, give me a sec, with no words, i approach the old man and offered help. he was delighted. got the cup of coffee and the plate and brought it to his table. went back to the cashier and finish my order.

after doing so, i went to the side, and look at the people in line. blank faces, arching eyebrows. (forgive me for this), in my mind i say! WTF! are you people thinking? are you blind?

WHEN ARE WE GONNA SHOW CONCERN? or maybe, when we are already in that old man's situation, we will complain that noone cares...

Happy Anniversary JRC!

A week before 10/29/11
I was so hesitant to give out
my contact information
to a guy I met online
as I do not know
what it will bring me.

Especially knowing him
when I am still coping up
with a relationship that just ended.
But, I did!

We met in downtown Toronto
With the offer that he will
take me to a place to take good pictures
As I am then keeping myself busy.
So I go.
We had quiet a story that day.

As I thought I knew the place so well.
I got tangled up and
walk a long mile
to get to the meeting place.

Good heavens!
He did not surrender
and waited...

And now,
looking back...

I am very happy
I took the chance!..

That first hug
and kiss was the start!..

Happy Anniversary JRC!..
