At The End

Live your life
According to how
and what you think
Can make you happy.

But that is,
without hurting anyone
or stepping on someone's toes.

Love as how you
want yourself to be loved.
Hopefully, this is still applicable,
LOVE BEGETS LOVE!

Live happy
and with all honestly
because at the end of your journey;
when you are resting in peace,
people that you have touched
will remember you
as how they have
encountered you.

  1. Hello sir JJ. I'm back to writing tales for Magpie but before I wrote my entry for this week, I read your entry first, I was definitely moved, and somehow mine is connected to yours though in a sad tone, because I just lost a friend, not physically, but you know, we had some rough times... :(

Very philosophical and very true. But sadly many missed the boat and acted out the reverse! Great verse!

  16. Great take on this one. You're right when you said that love begets love. If only everyone believed it in such simple ways...

  19. It's interesting how the philosophy of most religions boils down tot he very same sentiment: "Live your life being happy, but without hurting other people - do unto others as you would them do unto you..."
Your poem lingers on these ideas and expresses them well.

I hope your new start will make you happy!

  21. It's good to communicate with someone who's from the Philippines. I attended a Filipino church in California for several years; thought of myself as their token Anglo.

    Thanks for your honest writing.
