how many times
did i try to key
a note
a text
of
hello
how are you
hope you're fine...
but the minute
my fingers
set on..
Words won't come
Sadness and longing sinks in
And all I can type is
I MISS YOU!

Sometimes it's hard to get beyond those few little words.
ReplyDeleteFrom one born in the Phillipines, to another- those are my feelings I feel for loved ones I haven't seen since 1982. Sometimes the words "I MISS YOU" sums it all up, love, longing and dreaming.
ReplyDeleteMany Blessings~
ParengJJ,
ReplyDeleteThe feeling is felt and faced by many.It is something natural where emotions take over. We can only sympathize.
Hank
Aww... so sweet.
ReplyDeleteyou are sad again my friend...
ReplyDeletebe safe and be happy...
one with you in prayers...
this screams of truth and familiarity...
ReplyDeletePerhaps this answers the question to your previous blog......... ;)
ReplyDeleteNice write, friend. Very raw.
Beautiful and poignant.
ReplyDeleteToo often all I bring to the keyboard is anger, and all I want to type is one four-letter-word over and over again. Your version of writer's block is much nicer than mine. Thanks for visiting Poet,my Magpie this week.
ReplyDeleteOh, sad. I think "I miss you" says it all, though.
ReplyDeleteAwww. Good write about not being able to write.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, as I read this, I think guiltily of people I haven't written to...but I could instead think fondly of those who haven't written me.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad. Yesterday I found out a longtime friend of mine had died, and I hadn't been in touch with him for so long, I didn't even know he was sick.
ReplyDeleteAnd yesterday I got an e-mail from another friend, saying, "I miss you" — I will be sure to visit her the next time I'm at the west coast.

You have to start somewhere.
ReplyDeleteDear JJ: Yes, when "Words won't come"
ReplyDeleteand "my fingers set on"
really intrigue me because I wrote the word "set" too. We're on the same wavelength baby! Are we getting too familiar? I think not because "I MISS YOU" too!
Lovely! :) jj Chiccoreal
