L O N G I N G

how many times
did i try to key
a note
a text
of
hello
how are you
hope you're fine...

but the minute
my fingers
set on..
Words won't come
Sadness and longing sinks in
And all I can type is
I MISS YOU!

  1. Sometimes it's hard to get beyond those few little words.

  2. From one born in the Phillipines, to another- those are my feelings I feel for loved ones I haven't seen since 1982. Sometimes the words "I MISS YOU" sums it all up, love, longing and dreaming.
    Many Blessings~

  3. ParengJJ,
The feeling is felt and faced by many.It is something natural where emotions take over. We can only sympathize.

  7. Too often all I bring to the keyboard is anger, and all I want to type is one four-letter-word over and over again. Your version of writer's block is much nicer than mine. Thanks for visiting Poet,my Magpie this week.

  10. It's funny, as I read this, I think guiltily of people I haven't written to...but I could instead think fondly of those who haven't written me.

  11. This is so sad. Yesterday I found out a longtime friend of mine had died, and I hadn't been in touch with him for so long, I didn't even know he was sick.
And yesterday I got an e-mail from another friend, saying, "I miss you" — I will be sure to visit her the next time I'm at the west coast.

  15. Dear JJ: Yes, when "Words won't come"
    and "my fingers set on"
really intrigue me because I wrote the word "set" too. We're on the same wavelength baby! Are we getting too familiar? I think not because "I MISS YOU" too!
    Lovely! :) jj Chiccoreal
