Fiddler On The Roof

What a glorious day it was. I was moved to do the garden. I trimmed all the bushes. Cultivated or how my boss call it, aerate (did I say it right?)the soil. The flowers are blooming for weeks now. I love it.

My boss woke up very happy knowing that I have been working on the garden the whole morning. Not to mention i made some repair on his broken bird bath. I found out that there was a cement putty that i can use. He loves that bird bath. That made him extra happy.

I stopped working outside as it is becoming to hot already. Besides I'm waiting for a text or call from a very special person. Prepared our omelette breakfast.

While eating breakfast, my boss start humming a song and I sing back a few lines of the song that i knew and he said, "I think we have that musical VHS on the piles of tapes on our family room". So we sat down and watch it...

Fiddler on the Roof

"A fiddler on the roof... Sounds crazy, no? But here in our little village of Anatevka, you might say every one of us is a fiddler on the roof, trying to scratch out a pleasant, simple tune without breaking his neck."

Fiddler on the Roof is a popular musical from the 1960s, based on a set of stories by Yiddish writer Sholem Aleichem (pen name for Solomon Rabinovich).

Btw, I feel so happy him telling me that he made a very good decision of hiring me for the job. I am the kind who wants to make the employer happy. That most of the time even before he tells me what to do, it is already done. That I care for him like a father and for his house like it is mine. Need not to say I'm just giving him back what he is giving me. He is more than a boss, he seems like a father, a brother and a friend to me.

So I'll stop for awhile as we are watching while i'm doing this post...

Talk to you guys later... I wanna enjoy this movie first...

Have a blessed Sunday.

  1. The landscaping looks gorgeous - well done. And "aerate" is correct; it's one of those English words that doesn't follow the spelling rules. (It seems like there are a lot of them.) I'm glad you seem happy with your job, it is a true blessing in life. Once I had a job that paid well but I hated it so much that I would wake up and feel sick to my stomach at having to go to work. Now I have a job working with kids, and it doesn't pay well but I am happy and excited to go to work. So I am blessed :)
